Entheoacoustics
How ThirdTone Entheoacoustics Work
ThirdTone is grounded in an emerging neuroscience paradigm: the brain operates as a dynamic network of interacting rhythms.
Research on psilocybin shows that its profound effects arise through temporary disruption of the Default Mode Network (DMN), loosening rigid patterns of self-referential activity and increasing global connectivity and cognitive flexibility. Complementary research shows that this disruption is accompanied by changes in cognition and emotional processing without global cognitive impairment.
Recent neuroscience research demonstrates that brain function depends on harmonic, cross-frequency interactions across networks. In addition, this research takes those neural interactions further to reveal that not just the brain, but the mitochondria of all cells are listening to sound and responding by altering their mechanisms.
ThirdTone’s entheoacoustic approach applies these principles by creating precisely tuned constellations of interacting frequencies designed to gently modulate network relationships. These harmonic frequencies enhance shifts in perception, coherence, and awareness that parallel key mechanisms observed in psychedelic, neuroscience, and sound research.
When we change the relationships within the brain through frequency, we change cognition, perception, and experience itself.
ThirdTone Entheoacoustic Frequencies
A Frequency Pharmacy for the Pyschedelic Experience
The ThirdTone six-week entheoacoustic listening protocol is a cumulative practice designed to deepen and amplify the changes initiated through working with entheogens, supporting transformation across the whole being. Working beneath the threshold of intensity, it invites lasting shifts in perception, embodiment, emotional landscape, creativity, and sense of connection.
Calibrated binaural frequencies engage the body, mind, and perceptual field simultaneously, helping insight move from concept into lived experience. Used together, the two approaches support deeper integration, allowing insights to take root in daily life, relationships, and creative expression.
The Six-Week Entheoacoustic Arc
Week 1: Self-Awareness — Overtone Series Body Scan
The protocol begins with internal orientation. Overtone-based frequencies support interoceptive awareness, inviting attention to sensation, emotional tone, and baseline nervous system patterns. This phase parallels the opening of an entheogenic journey, where sensitivity increases and subtle shifts begin to register.
Week 2: Self-Regulation through Grounding — Bilateral Integration
Bilateral sound patterns support coherence, engaging left–right integration and reinforcing a sense of internal safety. Listeners can follow the sound with their eyes. This week establishes the regulatory foundation necessary for deeper activation later in the protocol.
Week 3: Self-Regulation through Activation — Perceptual Expansion
With regulation in place, gentle activation is introduced. Perceptual expansion frequencies support alertness, pattern recognition, and cognitive flexibility. This phase often corresponds with increased clarity, responsiveness, and creative insight
Week 4: Expression — Creative Activation
This week supports outward movement and expression. These frequencies help translate internal shifts into communication, creativity, and embodied action, helping insight move from perception into lived experience.
Week 5: Resilience — Integration to Expansion
Bilateral sound patterns establish coherence through left–right integration, cultivating a sense of internal safety. From this regulated foundation, subtle activation emerges that broadens perception and promotes more clarity.
Week 6: Expansion — Entheoacoustic Synthesis
The final week brings together activation, integration, and expansion. The emphasis is on inhabiting a wider perceptual and embodied range while remaining grounded and regulated.
